Seabourn Spring Cruises: “Southeast Asia & Japan”
For Seabourn Encore’s 14-day “Southeast Asia and Japan” voyage departing March 2, 2025, Seabourn will roll out its “Writers & Writers” voyage. It will celebrate the written word with bestselling authors and singer-songwriters.
Sailing from Singapore to Kobe, Japan, the ship will call at one new port of call for the fleet — Tokushima, Japan.
Guest speakers including writers and songwriters on this voyage are:

Seabourn Spring Cruises: “Japan & Hawaiian Islands Pacific Crossing”
Offering “Stars & Stars” themed entertainment programming, Seabourn Encore will embark on a 25-day “Japan & Hawaiian Islands Pacific Crossing.” Sailing from Long Beach, CA, on March 16, 2025, the ship will make its first U.S. visit. In addition, it will also make a maiden call at Wakayama, Japan.
During the ship’s sea days crossing the Pacific, the “Stars & Stars” themed entertainment program will offer everything from stargazing opportunities to presentations and performances. So, guests will hear from these speakers.
- Jim Kennedy: Former director of NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, Kennedy led the effort to launch and land the Space Shuttle and International Space Station. This 36-year NASA veteran now shares his knowledge of space exploration and leadership with global audiences.
- Dr. Svetlana Barkanova: A physicist and professor, Dr. Barkanova is an internationally known researcher. Most notably, her mission is to discover the nature of the universe’s dark matter. Also, she’s passionate about the night sky and science promotion.
Seabourn Delivers West End Stars!
In addition, these West End Stars will deliver stage performances on board this cruise.
- Elesha Moses: Having played iconic leading ladies including Whitney Houston in the stage musical “Queen of the Night,” Moses has — for the past year — been performing as Tina Turner in the “Tina – The Musical.”
- Lauren Drew: Following debuts in the U.K. tour of “Ghost” and “Kinky Boots” at the Adelphi, Drew played such West End roles as Suzanne in “Sweet Charity.” She also was the understudy for Eva Peron in “Evita” (at Regent’s Park Theatre) and “Cats.” She’s currently starring as Celine Dion in the West End’s hit musical, “Titanique.”
- Daniel Boys: Prior to his time as a 2007 contestant on the BBC talent series, “Any Dream Will Do,” Boys starred in the West End productions of the musicals “Rent” and “Grease.” Since then, he’s also starred in “Avenue Q,” “Spamalot,” “Falsettos” and most recently as King George III in “Hamilton.”
- Kieran Alleyne. He’s known for starring in “Thriller Live” as both the young and adult Michael Jackson. He’s also a solo singer who finished third on “The X Factor” in 2016. He’s garnered 26 million Spotify streams and nine million YouTube views for “Runnin Low,” his debut single.

For one “Magic Moments” themed sailing, Seabourn Encore will operate a 19-day “Panama Canal Passage” journey from Long Beach, CA, to Miami, FL. The ship will depart April 9, 2025.
Ports of call will include Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala; and Cartagena, Colombia.
