For effortless, highly inclusive touring during which  travelers just relax and enjoy their trip  — leaving all the nitty gritty “on-vacation” details to an expert — then Tauck is a great choice. But if you’ve “been there, done that” in taking a Tauck tour to popular destinations across the globe, what’s next?

One unique option close to home is Cuba. It’s just a short flight from Miami, FL. And Tauck is returning to Cuba in 2024 with “Cuba: A Cultural Odyssey,” a “People-to-People” educational exchange.

This six-night journey will operate roundtrip from Miami, with intra-tour air to/from Cuba provided by Tauck. Guests will spend one night in Miami and five nights in Cuba. They’ll explore Havana, Finca Vigia and Vinales.

Tauck first introduced guests to Cuba in the 1930s and then again in the 2010s. Now, it’s heading back starting in October 2024.

Tauck Tour: People-to-People Exchange

Since this is designed as a “People-to-People” educational exchange, the top priority is cultural enrichment. Tauck will set up discussions for guests with representatives from many Cuban cultural organizations.

For example, guests will hear from Cubans involved with Cuban community and arts organizations; educational institutions and museums; community art projects; architectural preservation organizations; tobacco and cigar production facilities; baseball organizations; and more.

On special “Tauck Experiences,” guests will also connect with “the locals” and delve deeply into Cuban culture, cuisine and lifestyle. They’ll have opportunities to mix and mingle with Cuban families, artists, musicians, students, educators, agricultural workers, artisans, entrepreneurs, community leaders, baseball coaches and players and others.

Simply put, if you love deep cultural immersion and connecting with local residents of a country, this trip offers a hefty dose of that!

Tauck Tour: The Value Proposition

A Tauck tour also provides great value. As previously mentioned, two “on-tour” air flights between Miami and Havana are included in the tour fare. Here’s what else is also covered within the pricing, which starts at $6,490 per person, double occupancy.

  • One night’s stay at the Hyatt Regency Coral Gables in the Miami area;
  • Accommodations for five nights at the Grand Aston La Habana in Havana, Cuba;
  • Escorted travel by a professional Tauck Director from the moment the trip begins in Miami;
  • Experienced local guides in Cuba, all fluent in both English and Spanish;
  • All ground transportation and airport transfers upon arrival and departure;
  • All gratuities to the Tauck Director, local guides and drivers, hotel and restaurant staff;
  • All taxes, admission fees, porterage and departure tax; and
  • 15 meals including authentic Cuban cuisine at local restaurants and private paladares throughout your trip

As for the five nights in Havana, Tauck tells us that Grand Aston La Habana Hotel is a superb, 600-room resort with elegant, modern design. Managed by highly regarded Archipelago International, it’s located on Primera and D streets, right in front of Havana’s Malecon. Guests will discover lush gardens in an urban setting.

The resort’s eclectic dining options include its crown jewel, Havana 92, located on the 25th floor. Guests will also find an infinity pool overlooking the waters of Havana Bay. If travelers want to relax with a pampering spa treatment, that’s available too. The resort’s Ubud Spa is the first Bali-style facility in Cuba.
