If you’ve thought about a summer 2025 cruise vacation but now say, “Ooops, I didn’t get around to booking anything,” is it too late? Fortunately, there’s still time. For a pampering summer vacation close to home, check out Oceania Cruises‘ sailings to or from North America.
Sailing to or from New York or Montreal, Quebec, Canada, for instance, two Oceania ships will call at ports in North America, Iceland and Greenland. But act fast and talk to your personal travel planner to secure a spot on these journeys. Summer is just a few months away!

Spotlight: Summer Vacation
Guests can choose from voyages on either the 1,250-passenger Marina or the 670-passenger Insignia. Whichever guests prefer, they’ll find that Oceania offers immersive, small-group shore excursions.
“On board, Oceania also is a “foodie’s delight” with incredible, onboard culinary experiences,” says Shelby Steudle, president, Pavlus Travel. “Marina has four gourmet specialty restaurants.” Dining at those is always included in the guest’s cruise fare.
In addition, guests can also dine at the ship’s newest culinary venue, the wellness-inspired Aquamar Kitchen; it’s open for breakfast and lunch.
For travelers seeking a bit more intimate sailing experience, Insignia is a good option. This smaller vessel can easily navigate into some smaller ports of call.
Enticing Cruises
Summer Vacation: “Vikings & Bon Vivants”
On July 11, 2025, Marina will set sail on a 16-day “Vikings & Bon Vivants” itinerary. Guests will embark the ship in Reykjavik, Iceland, and sail across the Atlantic Ocean to Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Along the way, travelers will go ashore at Icelandic fishing villages and marvel at waterfalls and glaciers in Greenland. Then, they’ll visit multiple Canadian destinations including St. Anthony and Corner Brook, Newfoundland; and Sept-Iles, Saguenay, Quebec City and Montreal (overnight), Quebec.
At press time, pricing began at $6,299 per person, double occupancy. Talk with a professional travel advisor about accommodations choices, pre- and post-cruise options (if available) and more.
“Far North Explorer”
On July 27, travelers will set out on Marina’s 16-day “Far North Explorer” journey from Montreal to Reykjavik. Along the way, they’ll explore the unique heritage, culture and cuisine of Quebec, plus go ashore at villages in Canada’s Atlantic region.
New York Roundtrip: “New & Primeval Worlds“
“If you’re seeking a robust, 38-day journey roundtrip from New York, check out “New & Primeval Worlds,” says Pavlus’ Steudle.
Departing August 6, 2025, Insignia will sail for nearly six weeks. Heading north it will call at four ports in Canada plus Saint Pierre in the French territory. Then it’s on to Nuuk, which is Greenland’s capital, and Paamiut (Frederikshab), Greenland.
In Iceland, the ship will visit Isafjordur, Akureyi, Seydisfjordur, Reykjavik (overnight), Djupivogur, Husavik and Isafjordur (a second port call there), all in Iceland.
Greenland, Canada and the U.S.
Returning to Greenland, the ship will then call at Qaqortuq, Greenland, as well as two repeat ports that it called at earlier in the cruise. Continuing back to Canada, Insignia will also call at three ports visited earlier in the cruise.
A good point? “While those are ‘repeated ports,’ the beauty of that is that travelers have much more time to spend in these gorgeous destinations but doing totally different activities,” says Pavlus’ Steudle. “That can create much deeper destination immersion as you explore local culture and heritage or admire the eco-beauty.”
Reaching the U.S., guests then will explore Bar Harbor, ME, and Boston and Martha’s Vineyard, MA. Oceania offers multiple shore excursions in Boston.
Some travelers might visit the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum or take an Old Town Boston trolley tour. Among other options are highlights of Boston and Fenway Park (home of the Boston Red Sox), or a walk along the Freedom Trail.
The cruise then ends in New York, where it began. At press time, fares started from $12,399 per person, double occupancy.
“Give Pavlus Travel a call to assist you in learning more about this fabulous 38-day summer vacation and in handling any booking,” says Steudle. “We’ll answer all your questions, help you pick accommodations, smooth the booking process, give you a great deal and provide personalized service.”
Summer Vacation Cruise: “Subarctic Scenes”
“For those seeking a U.S. departure and a shorter itinerary, one good option for a fabulous summer vacation is Insignia‘s 19-day “Subarctic Scenes” itinerary from New York City to Reykjavik,” says Pavlus’ Steudle.
Departing August 6, 2025, the ship will head for the Canadian ports of Saint John (Bay of Fundy), New Brunswick; Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia; and St. John’s, Newfoundland.
One itinerary highlight is a visit to Saint-Pierre in the French collectivity of Saint-Pierre and Miquelon. As France’s only territory in North America, it’s known for its savory cuisine, reasonably priced wines and museum attractions.
Then the ship will head to multiple Greenland and Iceland calls. The ship will overnight in Reykjavik, giving guests more time to explore the city. Check out the complete itinerary lineup.
At press time, fares for this voyage began at $5,695 per person, double occupancy. Chat with a personal travel planner (no service fee!) to find out more.
So, if you haven’t firmed up your summer vacation plans, these and other summer sailings by Insignia and Marina may be a good fit. Enjoy!
