New Seabourn Cruises for 2025 Holiday and 2026 Spring

Ultra-luxury Seabourn unveiled a new program of immersive itineraries on Seabourn Quest  for Australia and New Zealand, the South Pacific, Hawaii and the Panama Canal for December 2025 through April 2026. So, let’s check out these new Seabourn cruises!

The 458-passenger ship will sail 22 itineraries of 10 to 48 days. All told they’ll take travelers to 46 destinations in 13 countries. For example, guests will have the opportunity to explore Australia’s offshore ecological jewel, the Great Barrier Reef (Photo above provided by Seabourn). 

The Meandering Traveler is particularly excited by a new series of 10-day French Polynesia voyages roundtrip from Papeete, Tahiti.

10 Days to 48 Days: New Seabourn Cruises

With voyages from 10 to 48 days, Seabourn Quest will offer a combination of itineraries. They’ll take luxury travelers to iconic destinations and smaller, less-explored ports.

In addition to the new 10-day roundtrip voyages from Papeete, the new season will include these highlights:

  • A 19-day Panama Canal passage from Long Beach, CA, to Miami, FL
  • 15-day voyages in Australia and New Zealand
  • Overnight calls on select voyages at coastal Cairns and Melbourne in Australia, and Bora Bora and Tahiti in French Polynesia
  • Extended stays in Napier, New Zealand; Honolulu and Kona, Hawaii; Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; and Cartagena on Colombia’s Caribbean coast.

“Along with navigating breathtaking coastlines and introducing guests to vibrant cultures, Seabourn Quest’s itineraries invite guests to indulge in unmatched luxury, refinement, and enjoyment on board,” says Natalya Leahy, president of Seabourn.

Australia and New Zealand

Seabourn Quest will sail on a series of new Seabourn cruises that visit 16 destinations in Australia and New Zealand. One plus is that these 15-day voyages will overnight in both Cairns, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, and Melbourne, southern Australia’s gateway to the Yarra River Valley’s wine country.

During the ship’s Cairns, Australia, overnight call, The Meandering Traveler would suggest checking out Seabourn’s “Hands-On Country Eco-Culture Tour.” Guests who choose that will journey via riverboat to discover the lifestyle and heritage of the Mandingalbay Yidinji people.

In cosmopolitan Melbourne, travelers can explore art and architecture, historic galleries, restaurants, and markets. In New Zealand, guests can experience coastal Kaikoura’s prolific marine life.

Wildlife, Birds and More

One exclusive shore excursion option in Kaikoura is “Whales and Cray Trails.” It’s curated in collaboration with renowned marine biologist Dr. Krista van der Linde.

Also, guests will have an opportunity to explore Oban on Stewart Island. That’s a must-visit spot for bird watchers and lovers of wildlife. It’s also the gateway to New Zealand’s Rakiura National Park.

Departure dates are December 20, 2025; January 4 and 19, 2026; and February 3, 2026. For example, Seabourn’s fares for the January 19, 2026, 15-day itinerary started at $7,416 per person, double occupancy, at press time.

New Seabourn Cruises: South Pacific and Polynesia

Do you love island hopping? Well, after exploring Australia and New Zealand from late 2025 through February 2026, Seabourn Quest will then head out for island hopping between Fiji, Tonga, and the Cook Islands prior to arriving in French Polynesia.

Check out that 30-day “New Zealand and Coral Seas Discovery” island-hopping itinerary. Departing January 19, 2026, the ultra-luxury ship will sail from Sydney, Australia, to Papeete, Tahiti. At press time, fares started at $14,399 per person, double occupancy.

There, the ship will sail for the first time on three departures of a new 10-day “Bora Bora & Tahitian Nights Explorer” voyage. Each itinerary will include two full days in Bora Bora and an overnight stay in Papeete (Tahiti) at the start of each voyage.

Featured ports in the region? They include:

  • Bora Bora, a tiny island dominated by stunning tropical landscapes and two volcanic peaks
  • Rangiroa, French Polynesia, home to one of the world’s largest coral atolls
  • Huahine, French Polynesia, a picturesque isle with lush forests, pristine landscapes and charming villages

Departure dates for the 10-day voyages are February 17, February 27, and March 9, 2026. Pricing at press time for the February 27, 2026, “Bora Bora and Tahitian Nights” cruise started at $6,659 per person, double occupancy.

New Seabourn Cruises: Panama Canal

Seabourn Quest will sail from Long Beach, CA, to Miami, FL, on a 19-day voyage departing April 7, 2026. The voyage includes a Panama Canal transit.

Connecting the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, the canal is a major shipping corridor. Some 14,000 ships transited the canal in 2023!

During this voyage, the luxurious ship will also call at Puntarenas, Costa Rica. That means guests can head out to the fabulous Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve.

In addition, travelers will go ashore at Cartagena, Colombia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s known for its vibrant waterfront, historic Old Town and Spanish-era fortresses.

At press time, fares for this “Panama Canal Passage” began at $6,569 per person, double occupancy.
