When travelers check out new luxury expedition cruises far in advance, it’s a plus. How so? They can relax, learn more about the destinations they’ll visit, book with ease through their trusted travel advisor and savor the pre-cruise anticipation of an incredible eco-adventure.

“It’s a great way to savor the pre-cruise anticipation,” says Shelby Steudle, president, Pavlus Travel. “That’s why we’re excited about Silversea Expeditions’ recent announcement about new 2026 and 2027 luxury expedition cruises.

From March 2026 through May 2027, the line will offer 131 different eco-adventure voyages. Guests will set sail to remote spots across the globe on either the 220-passenger Silver Endeavour, 100-passenger Silver Origin, 254-passenger Silver Cloud, or 274-passenger Silver Wind.

If you love gorgeous scenery, hiking, kayaking, Zodiac rides, wildlife spotting and other outdoor adventures, as well as some cultural and heritage elements (dependent on the destinations or region of sailing), then check out several highlights of the new schedule below.

And remember this: When sailing on any of this expedition line’s four, ultra-luxury expedition ships, there’s no “roughing” it on board. In contrast, guests will enjoy pampering service, ultra-luxury accommodations, tasty dining, and enrichment activities galore.

New Luxury Expedition Cruises

Silversea Expeditions’ new luxury expedition cruises for 2026-2027 will span six to 76 days. They’ll sail to remote spots from the Arctic region to Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands, Australia’s Kimberley Coast, Antarctica and beyond.

Good to know? The Silversea expedition ships provide some of the highest Zodiac-to-guest ratios at sea. That means that when it comes time to explore beyond the ship, you won’t have issues in finding space on a Zodiac.

South Pacific Adventure

One highlight is a grand voyage that we’d certainly love to take. Departing in August 2026, Silver Cloud will sail a 77-day “Grand South Pacific Expedition.”

Guests will board in Fremantle (Perth) in western Australia and disembark in Valparaiso, Chile. Along the way, they’ll visit 11 countries and explore an incredible array of remote, pristine destinations.

Travelers can gaze at the Kimberley’s dramatic, rugged beauty via both water and land. And they can take a dip or head out snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters of the Fiji Islands or French Polynesia.

Other exotic ports of call include Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, the Soloman Islands, Easter Island, the Cook Islands and multiple isles of French Polynesia including Tahiti and Bora Bora. Plus, there are many others.

We’d suggest readers look at the full South Pacific itinerary here. For this two-and-one-half-month grand journey across the South Pacific, pricing started at $59,900 per person, double occupancy,* at press time.

The Luxury of Time

Right now, grand voyages are among the most popular options. Why? They’re shorter than a World Cruise but meandering in their own right. They’re much longer than most journeys and guests truly feel they’re on board for an extended stay.

Talk to your professional travel advisor about reserving a spot, as the grand voyages tend to sell out quickly. The good news is that this grand voyage doesn’t depart until August 2026, so only a deposit is required right now.

Final payment won’t be due until early 2026. That can give travelers more time to prepare. But for all the details about payment and requirements, be sure to chat with your personal travel planner.

10-Night Kimberley Cruises

When it comes to new luxury expedition cruises, the remote Kimberley region in northwestern Australia is increasingly a “must see/must do” sailing region for luxury travelers.

For its 2026-2027 expedition schedule, Silversea Expeditions will offer 10-day roundtrip voyages from Darwin, Australia. One plus is the opportunity to visit eight different destinations within the country.

Overall, the Kimberley is a place of dramatic scenic beauty. One highlight? That’s the area’s trademark rust-red cliffs.

This region is also a draw for its rich Aboriginal history, and much wildlife. Cruisers typically can view thousands of diverse seabirds nesting on isolated atolls.

Travelers can also head out for helicopter tours, Zodiac cruises, hiking, guided cultural tours and reef or water activities.

One of those 10-day Kimberley voyages on Silver Cloud is slated for June 24, 2026. Pricing at press time started at $8,500 per person, double occupancy.*

“To get booked on this incredible adventure, contact your Pavlus Travel advisor today,” suggests Shelby Steudle, the agency’s president. Early booking will assist travelers in nailing down the best range of pre- or post-cruise options and, most importantly, the most robust choices for onboard accommodations.

For those readers who might prefer an even longer time in the Kimberley, Silversea Expeditions also offers a new 17-day itinerary; that will combine the Kimberley with the Australian West Coast. One highlight is a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Cape Peron, Shark Bay.

Antarctica or Bust!

As for polar adventures in 2026-2027, Silversea Expeditions just announced 40 new Antarctica voyages. So, travelers can follow in the path of such legendary explorers as Ernest Shackleton and Roald Amundsen.

Setting sail on one of three Silversea expedition ships, they’ll view serene Antarctic scenery. That means icebergs, icy landscapes, mountain ranges and glaciers.

To reach the southern end of the Earth, guests can choose from two types of voyages. Six-day, fly-cruise sailings are seamless and avoid the sea route of the infamous Drake Passage.

For instance, on February 2, 2027, Silversea Expeditions will offer a nine-day luxury expedition cruise that explores Antarctica. This adventure includes a charter flight from Puerto Williams to King George Island, South Shetland Island.

A Penguin Party Awaits

Antarctica travelers should get ready for viewing penguins — or often LOTS and LOTS of penguins. Above is a photo The Meandering Traveler took on Silversea Expeditions.

Gazing at Paulet Island, home to 100,000 pairs of breeding penguins, we spotted the cute black-and-white birds as far as the eye could see. Watching their speed at jumping (more akin to flying) out of the water and back in again was simply mind-boggling.

But that’s not unusual. Many Antarctica travelers frequently mention seeing huge colonies of penguins, as well as other species of birds, whales and seals.

At press time, prices began at $15,900 per person, double occupancy.* Contact your personal travel planner to ask questions, discuss accommodations options and to book at the best price.

If you’re seeking a longer, 18-day exploration, Silversea also offers other options that visit the Antarctic Peninsula, the Falkland Islands, and South Georgia.

New Hotel for Late 2025

And starting at the end of 2025, a new hotel that Silversea is building for its Antarctica travelers will open in Puerto Williams, Chile. Let’s just say that it’s expected to provide a bit easier “getting there” journey.

The new property will allow Silversea to put all of its Antarctica travelers in one Puerto Williams hotel pre-cruise — thus avoiding a separate inbound night in Santiago, Chile.

New Luxury Expedition Cruises: Arctic

In its latest schedule of new luxury expedition cruises, Silversea also has added 21 new Arctic and Greenland voyages for Silver Endeavour and Silver Wind. So, get ready to view lovely, remote fjords, massive glaciers and the world’s largest national park in Greenland.

For wildlife fans, these Arctic region cruises also offer chances to possibly spot reindeer, Arctic foxes, walruses, seals, whales, puffins and migratory birds.

In fact, The Meandering Traveler was delighted to spot a lone musk ox in the wild during a recent Greenland trip. Our best advice is to constantly keep scanning the Arctic landscape. Critters do suddenly appear.

Those on a Silversea Arctic and Greenland cruise might even spot a polar bear. While there are no guarantees, of course, it’s definitely a thrill if this does happen.

Other Arctic voyage pluses? Travelers can learn about and also mix and mingle with Arctic residents of the Ittoqqortoormiit communities. Plus, at night, guests can experience the Midnight Sun, and at times, the amazing Northern Lights.

In just one example, Silver Wind will depart Reykjavik, Iceland, to Nuuk (Godthab), Greenland, on July 14, 2026. Readers can check out the 12-day itinerary here and see the voyage route below.

Guests might witness humpback whales splashing their tails in icy waters or visit a spot etched in history such as Erik the Red’s homestead.
At press time, pricing started at $11,900 per person, double occupancy.* Again, talk with a skilled personal travel planner, such as an expert from Pavlus Travel, to ask questions and reserve space for this future vacation.

New Luxury Expedition Cruises: Good to Know

In addition, two Silversea expedition ships will offer multiple Northern Europe and British Isles voyages. Many go to spots that most European travelers may not have visited.

Plus, this month Silversea has just debuted many new voyages for its other (non-expedition) ships as outlined on this website page. In a past blog, we also previously covered new options that debuted earlier in 2024.

Reasons to Sail

Check with your travel advisor, but the good news is that many of the new luxury expedition voyages are included in the company’s latest promotional offer. That’s entitled “Up To $5,000 Reasons to Sail with Silversea.”

If so, guests can enjoy savings of up to $5,000 per suite on port-to-port and door-to-door all-inclusive fares when booking by February 28, 2025.*

Silversea says the new promotion is combinable with Silversea’s fare guarantee, Venetian Society savings, and combination savings, among other programs.

Plus, guests can benefit from a reduced deposit of just 15 percent. For more information on Silversea’s new luxury expedition cruises, visit this official website link.

(*Important Note: All the sample prices shown above were listed on the Silversea website at press time. They may or may not include any promotions such as the one mentioned above. Chat with your travel advisor for specifics on each fare and any requirements and time limits.)
