For global explorers who love to cruise in the lap of luxury, Silversea has unveiled a 149-day “World Cruise 2027, The Three Oceans” itinerary. Silver Dawn, one of the smallest world-cruising ships, will depart Los Angeles, CA, on January 8, 2027, and arrive in Copenhagen, Denmark, on June 7, 2027.

Along the way, the ship will take guests to 80 destinations – more than for any voyage in the brand’s history – in 35 countries on five continents. The lineup will include 20 new calls for a Silversea World Cruise.

In addition, guests will enjoy 11 overnight stays in ports. Overnights are planned for Honolulu, Hawaii; Carins, Australia; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Cape Town, South Africa; Bordeaux, France, and other destinations.

Good to know? “If interested, be sure to chat with your personal travel planner today and indicate your interest,” says Shelby Steudle, president, Pavlus Travel. “If you’re a member of Silversea’s loyal past guest program, The Venetian Society, then an exclusive ‘pre-sale’ will open on June 20.”

This voyage is expected to book quickly. General sales to the public will open on June 27, 2024.

Silversea World Cruise 2027: Three Oceans

Silversea’s 2027 World Cruise will unlock the cultures, histories, and ideas of the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic oceans. “Traveling aboard Silver Dawn, one of the smallest ships to embark on a World Cruise, our guests will venture off the beaten path to 80 destinations on five continents over 149 days,” says Bert Hernandez, Silversea’s new president.

Launched in 2022, Silver Dawn carries just 596 guests. While traveling on the Silversea World Cruise 2027, travelers will enjoy the most amount of time spent in port destinations, compared with any previous Silversea World Cruise.

In total,” they’ll explore more than 50 UNESCO World Heritage Sites,” Hernandez adds. Plus, they’ll arrive at 20 destinations that have also never been visited on a Silversea World Cruise.

Look for four exclusive World Cruise events too. Hernandez characterizes them as “bespoke experiences, curated by our team of experts.”

Yes, the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic oceans represent the cruise’s geographical route. But Silversea also says they represent three varied chapters within the full World Cruise. Each will offer regional events, entertainment, gifts, lectures and more.

“Ocean of Time” – The Pacific Ocean

Traveling from Los Angeles to Brisbane, Australia, this 46-day “Ocean of Time” journey will showcase the tropical beauty of Hawaii and French Polynesia.

In Hawaii, for instance, the destinations visited will include Hilo on “The Big Island” of Hawaii. Plus, guests will visit Kahului on Maui and Honolulu on Oahu. They’ll have the opportunity to visit the UNESCO-listed Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

A special World Cruise event will honor ancient Polynesian seafarers at a sunset ho’olaule’a in Honolulu. World Cruise guests will savor traditional cuisine, tropical libations, and a night of stargazing.

Beaches, Wildlife and Culture

Throughout the Pacific Ocean journey, guests will have time to relax on idyllic beaches, participate in wildlife spotting opportunities and dive into regional culture. For example, they’ll view traditional Fijian architecture, learn about Polynesian heritage, and taste Melanesian cuisine.

In French Polynesia, they’ll explore Nuku Hiva in the Marquesas; Rangiroa in the Tuamotus; Moorea and Bora Bora in Tahiti; Apia, the capital of Samoa; Lautoka in Fiji; pristine Champagne Beach in Vanuatu; and Lifou in New Caledonia.

Heading to Australia, they’ll visit Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays, as well as Darwin and Brisbane.

“Ocean of Life” – The Indian Ocean

Sailing across the Indian Ocean between Brisbane and Cape Town, South Africa, travelers will reconnect with Mother Nature in a big way. In fact, they’ll spend seven days in South Africa including safari experiences to spot the “Big Five” — elephant, lion, rhinoceros, leopard and buffalo.

Africa Land Stay and More Highlights

As part of that South African experience, they’ll receive an included two-night overland experience. Traveling from Durban to Port Elizabeth, they’ll journey deep into southern Africa.

For instance, they’ll arrive by air to view the magnificent Victoria Falls from every angle and then enjoy a private sunset river cruise. They’ll also stay in a luxury outpost alongside the Zambezi River.

Other highlights of this “Ocean of Life” chapter of the Silversea World Cruise 2027? Guests will visit Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and the Vallee de Mai Nature Reserve on the island of Praslin, Seychelles.

In addition, they’ll have opportunities to view sights and enjoy experiences in the following destinations:

  • Bali and Java (Semarang) in Indonesia
  • Colombo, Sri Lanka
  • The Maldives and Seychelles, island nations within the Indian Ocean
  • Reunion, South Africa

“Ocean of Discovery” – The Atlantic Ocean

Certainly, one segment of this Silversea World Cruise 2027 that should prove fascinating is the “Ocean of Discovery” in the Atlantic Ocean. Traveling between Cape Town and Copenhagen, Denmark, guests will explore extreme diversity — from Africa’s West Coast to the Norwegian fjords.

Departing Cape Town, Silver Dawn will take guests to the African countries of Namibia, Angola, Ghana, and Gambia, as well as Dakar in Senegal. Other ports of call include Praia in Cape Verde, as well as Agadir and Casablanca in Morocco.

Guests will also visit the United Kingdom’s remote northern islands and learn about maritime history in Northern Ireland. They’ll explore Lisbon, Portugal, and other destinations in northern or western Europe.

Also planned by Silversea is a curated, exclusive World Cruise shore event. Guests will savor local gastronomy, witness cultural celebrations and attend a night-time musical performance at St. Anne’s Cathedral in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Travel Aboard Silver Dawn

Traveling on the 596-passenger Silver Dawn, guests will have plenty of room to spread out and relax. All guests will enjoy the personalized service of a butler and a high crew-to-guest ratio.

In addition, guests will receive a complimentary spa treatment and wellness experiences offered through the Otium wellness program.

S.A.L.T. on Silversea World Cruise 2027

Best of all, this Muse-class ship offers travelers immersive culinary experiences (both on board and ashore) through Silversea’s S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) culinary program.

Simply put, this approach adds a new culinary element to luxury cruise dining. While traditional, high-end restaurants are aboard, of course, S.A.L.T. is all about tasting local foods and drinks in the region of the cruise (or even a specific port).

Among many onboard dining venues, the S.A.L.T. Kitchen has a constantly changing menu. So, guests can order dishes inspired by what’s popular with the locals in a particular country or region. A separate S.A.L.T. Bar serves custom-designed cocktails related to the destinations visited.

In the onboard S.A.L.T. Lab, an onboard test kitchen, guests also can get “hands on” with local culinary ingredients. These cooking classes are curated by regional food experts.

S.A.L.T. Experiences Ashore

Bespoke S.A.L.T. experiences ashore will also enrich guests’ travels. For example, guests can opt for these S.A.L.T. shore excursions, among others:

  • Discover the beauty of Sri Lankan cuisine with a master chef.
  • Go on a private truffle hunt and enjoy a gourmet lunch in a historic chateau in Bordeaux, France.
  • Fish for seafood in the Swedish Archipelago.
